At Q by Kolam, every festival is an opportunity to celebrate culture, community, and the spirit of togetherness. This year, our women-first serviced apartment in Thoraipakkam is delighted to celebrate Onam, the vibrant festival of Kerala that brings joy, color, and tradition into our lives.
Our celebration began with a warm Pookalam (floral carpet) adorning the entrance, welcoming guests with its vibrant hues. Just like Onam itself, which symbolizes prosperity and harmony, the Pookalam reflects our values at Q by Kolam—creating a safe, welcoming, and joyful space for every guest.
A highlight of the day was the Onam Sadhya, a traditional vegetarian feast served on banana leaves. Guests staying with us had the chance to experience the richness of Kerala cuisine, featuring over a dozen delicious dishes prepared with love. It wasn’t just a meal—it was a shared moment of festivity, culture, and comfort.
Beyond food and flowers, Onam is about community. At Q by Kolam, many of our guests are women professionals, doctors, and corporate travelers who are away from their families during such festivals. Our Onam celebration brought everyone together under one roof, making them feel at home despite being far from their hometowns.
